The early/rehearsal versions of Bachelor Kisses & Quiet Heart. A recording of The Mean Fiddler gigs in June 1997. Everything they ever recorded. That is all. |

ALL b-sides and BBC sessions and listenable demos, regardless of overlap, eg - all versions of Rare Breed, Just a King in Mirrors, etc... Although I really don't assume that a box set would ever appear... |

I'd like to see it presented as well as the Triffids "book" but I would hope that first take demos from when they were 14 would NOT be included! |

The acoustic sessions are the best thing about the Striped Sunlight Sound DVD; I thought the actual concert was kind of weak. I might have sold it were it not for the acoustic sessions. |

I have always felt that 'The Botany Tapes' would be worthy of some sort of official release. There are some excellent unreleased songs on there and good alternate takes of tracks from the first two solo albums. The songs could do with some fleshing out - perhaps Robert could revisit them and add some 'meat to the bones'. A 2CD effort - fleshed out new arrangements on the first disc and the original demos on the other. The true 'lost' Go-Betweens album. It'd be a winner! |

There are also many excellently recorded radio sessions that I would love to see get an official release, particularly one from Germany and another from Sweden. |

I would like to see in a possible boxset 1 disk of unused GB tracks -most of these would be from phase 2 of the band as the reissues of phase 1 used up most of their items e.g. ashes on the lawn Whatever song Boundary Rider replaced on Oceans Apart etc Any out takes from FORW tag on outside collaborations 1 Disk of the last concert they gave for The Story of the Go-betweens :A duo performance for most part 1 Disk of Unreleased Radio Sessions from Globe 1 to 2 Disks of Unreleased Live Performances by full band (point someone else made re stripped sunlight not being great is valid) also would give a chance to show case all the line ups of the band overtime in contrast to duo live disk 1 x DVD of The Story of the Go-Betweens Concert 1 Disk of Unheard Demos Inc cleaned up Botany Tapes so there you go a multi CD and 1 DVD boxset to go get this Christmas Hopefully we will see one at some point |

Both nights - front and centre, Padraig! Equal parts disbelief (that the shows were happening at all) and sheer elation (the band were absolutely on fire) - the crowd, venue, setlist made it a truly special occasion. Plus, I'm reliably informed it was one of the last occasions that Robert wore his famous black boots! |

Unreleased live concerts, (the best ones, one each) from the tours supporting BH, SHF, LBATBDE, Tallulah, 16LL and The Peel Sessions. I just ordered a CD of The Peel Sessions from an amazon.com seller and they sent me a vinyl copy of Black Sabbath's Paranoid instead. WTF! I certainly don't need that and and trying to send it back!! |

The 1986 cover of Pale Blue Eyes with Robert on lead vocals or the '88 recording of Season Of The witch with Grant on vocals and the greatest unreleased violin break in recording history. |

And the cover of a Rolling Stones song (Beggars Banquet?) which I've read about but never heard. Anyone here who can help me with that? |

Never heard either of these or even heard of them. Are they live recordings? Do you have any details? Thanks |

Apologies fsh, I would want to see these on a Go-Betweens boxset if they had recorded them, maybe they're for a dream Go-Betweens Covers Thread? I do have a double disc collection of solo rarities if you want to mail me I'll send you the track listing if you'd like a copy? Did they play many covers back in the day? I know they did some Dylan songs, Hurricane being one. |

I'd love to have a box set of the early singles on 7" vinyl, maybe remastered from the original tapes. |

There is also a lot of rare Grant, and some rare Robert, stuff that should be included on any box set. Listening right now to Grant's cassette only Live Last Monday EP. It includes his lovely version of Clouds. I'd like to hear a proper digital mastering of this EP. |

Hi Bill, sorry for not answering last time but I have not seen your question @bill: Your link made me speechless: http://australianmusictrade.50webs.com/B ands/Go-Betweens.htm How much music of all kinds and qualities may there be around! I guess that many of those recordings could be a base for a box set! Would love to hear all those gems... |

The website that was mentioned on this thread is mine: http://australianmusictrade.50webs.com/B ands/Go-Betweens.htm Of course any of this material is available to use for an official release, but the band probably has better copies. Robert Vickers actually made quite a few soundboard recordings in 1986, for example. |
