On the set list for the Regensburg gig on 24 October I saw mentioned two songs I am not familiar with: Did She Overtake You? Don't You Cry For Me No More Anybody know anything about those songs? It also says that Grant played bass at the gig. Is there anyone reading this who can say what songs he played bass on? |

Grant's been playing bass on 'Lee Remick' and 'People Say' at shows lately. |

I'm looking forward to the Spanish gigs more than ever now. As a bassist myself I think that the Go-Bees have 2 fantastic bass players. 'Don't You Cry For Me No More' is from Grant's third solo album Horsebreaker Star. I'd be interested to find out about the other song if anyone knows? |

"Did she overtake you" was the only new song ... it's by Robert and it is the best song I've heard in a long time, from anyone...I still have that guitar hooked in my mind. It is hypnotizing. Not a rock song like "Here comes a city", somehow darker... I think a (male) "you" is adressed in the song, and he is being asked, well, did she overtake you, did she overuse you etc. They performed it again yesterday in Nuremberg, saying that it was the best version they played so far. So, they didn't perform Grant's Satellite Blues, or whatever it is called, this time around, a song I heard in Munich on their spring tour. I really liked the songs from their solo albums, "Don't you cry for me no more" by Grant and "Justice" by Robert. And they played "Mountains near Dellray"! Bow Down was beautiful as well, of course. |

haha, jelena you know that I never had any glimpse into that secret world of decadence and debauchery called backstage aka a bleak, barren place which has to perform as dressing, dining and bath room all in one. ;) I'm looking forward to your pictures, though. On a different note, I'm just listening to Erhard Grundl and missouri's Bob Dylan cover of "You ain't goin' nowhere", inspired to put the cd into the player by Erhard's contribution to the Dylan thread on this board... a good one! |

Wow, "Justice" and "Mountains Near Dellray." I'm a sucker for those reflective album-closers. And I'm glad they're picking up the occasional Grant solo number. |
