Jerry, I'm over James Blunt now. I enrolled in some anger management classes after being inspired by Steve Coogans genius new creation Tommy Saxondale. Last episode on BBC2 tonight, roll on the repeats. By the way, whats Natasha Kaplisnsky done to upset everybody? Must have missed that one. The MTV thing. So Pete "talentless" Doherty is a more influential artist in the last 25 years than New Order? Jesus! ps - the anger management thing was a joke. |

Kev, Steve Coogan has a new creation? Tell me more! We're always years behind here in the States. I just saw "Tristram Shandy" on DVD and Coogan was brilliant, as always. Glad to hear someone else considers Doherty talentless. I bought the first Libertines album and didn't hear anything there. And I don't even want to listen to a band called Babyshambles. |

Yes Kurt he does have a new creation. The new character is called Tommy Saxondale who is an ex roadie from the 70s who is constantly namedropping how he used to work with all the dinosaur acts like Deep Purple, 10cc, Rainbow etc. He comes from the midlands in England (I'm guessing Birmingham) which is a traditional heavy metal hotbed and this is reflected in the accent and general demeanor of the character. He is divorced but lives with a buxom nympho who is younger than him in his nice little semi detatched house. he is now as far removed from rock n roll as its possible to be, and now works as a pest controller with his young wet behind the ears apprentice who also happens to live with him and the buxom nympho (she's a very nice nympho mind you, very polite and considerate and obviously in love with coogans character). Just to add some extra spice he also has to attend anger management classes for reasons which have either never been made clear, or were divulged in the first episode which i unfortunately didnt see. Just to add some symmetry, I also wont see the last episode which I thought I had recorded tonight, but the new satellite receiver I got today cocked it up. Bastard thing!! Still I'm sure it gets repeated later on in the week. I cant recommend it higly enough Kurt, maybe not in the Partridge class but by lesser comedy actors standards its a masterpiece |

Sounds great--thanks for the description, Kevin. With luck, we'll see it on DVD in the States by 2010. |
