without actually ever hearing any of the music by the artist? Lou Reed I think was one in my teens, it was the best of, and The Velvet Undergound Live '69, it was a yellow and red sleeve, Italian import. Jazzateers album, I just had to have it although I knw sweet FA about them or the record, it was on Rough Trade, had a Warholesque Luger handgun print on the sleev, so it had to be good! |

I loved the sleeves of the Style Council to the point I wanted to buy the records only for the artwork. But this band has always disappointed me. The biggest Weller's mistake I think. It's the "Send me a lullaby"'s sleeve who hooked me for the Gob's, so it's certainly important for an unknown band to have a fine packaging. |

Just bought Lambchop "The Decline of the Country and Western Civilisation" for the great title ( it swung me into buying it)though am partial to a bit of Lambchop. |

funny TROU, i love the style council, and i love the record sleeves as well. or i should specify that i love the first couple of albums and all the early singles. after "our favourite shop" they kind of, um, jumped the shark. but yeah, those sleeves were cool. |
