It's the only track from the 10" which is getting a digital release. |

For 75 quid I'd expect Robert to come round to my house and play the songs to me in person. And make me a cup of tea. |

The song Walcott is great. That might be the main point to make. The songs are here (shortened): http://foruli.co.uk/music and the interesting stories behind chosing them here: http://foruli.co.uk/news/robert-forster- writes-about-his-exclusive-foruli-vinyl- ep/45 |

@fsh: I know, I'm crazy in a way for paying 75 gbp for the luxury edition of the book incl. the 10" vinyl. But it is really wonderful and I find it better spending money for things you love ;) @gee: Isn't every concert you can see robert play a kind of concert he is playing just for you personally ? And the cup of tea I better make on my own |

Just in case anybody doesn't know: there is an Australian edition which you can buy for Aus$25 or thereabouts plus postage. I must get around to doing exactly that some day. I went to see Robert play in Jazz Cafe in London and was tempted to fork out the £75 but then the idea of hauling the thing around with me for a week refocused my thoughts. I can't imagine the Foruli boxset selling out (is it an edition of 500) but they'll probably burn it before reducing the price. |

Thanks for the links. I love Robert's comment that the Monkees were an album band. That's one directly in the eye of the entire late-60s early Rolling Stone generation of music critics who, of course slagged them off as puppets and certainly only a singles band. I do hope someday that he makes a specific nod to Michael Nesmith because he was the chief organic talent in that band and his first three solo albums are gems. I very much like the fact that he covered "King in Mirrors." |

King in Mirrors is still one of my favourite Go-Betweens songs. I think it was in 1985 when Grant showed me the chords to this song. |
