yeah quite a shock. Just a couple of days ago I had Typical Girls playing on my running playlist. I was thinking there really has never been a band like them since. She was a true punk. I also like the comeback record.

Jeff, Hard to say what the "serious illness" was, but like you mentioned it was far too young indeed.

It's almost like 50 years ago when a lot of jazz musicians were dying far too young (Charlie Parker, Billie Holliday, Fats Navarro, Lester Young, etc), however you could pin most of that on years of heroin usage. Even though John Coltrane stopped using in 1957, he died ten years later of liver cancer no doubt brought on by the damage he had done to his liver during the 1950's.
