Michael, I have it on order. Somebody posted a grouchy message on amazon about how it was never going to be released because they kept sending messages about its release date being moved. And I myself haven't heard anything from amazon for about a month. We'll see. Yes, it looks terrific. |

Gee. Apart from Gene, there's not a whole lot of other talents to recommend on that one. Skip Batten wrote TERRIBLE songs! He wouldn't have even worked with Gene and Michael surely. Sounds like a lame, scraping-the-bottom-of-the-barrel exercise sorry Randy! Give us an appraisal when it arrives. |

Curious. As I recall, "Well Come Back Home" was a pretty decent song. But this is a Gene Clark collection, doing his songs and some songs he did with the Byrds. While I'm not personally a big fan of the California country rock scene this band was essentially a supergroup, including Rick Roberts and Rick Danko as well as Michael Clarke, John York and Skip Battin. These are not minor names, Geoff. Judge for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4OKFvkNl X4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuWDk2tb- HE&feature=related Hopefully the tape is in better shape than these videos. I think this would be a very good set if it is ever released. There may be legal issues, considering how many people with good agents were involved. |

O.K. "Well come back home" was good but "America's great national pastime" from "Farther Along", I find excretable. John York I do really rate. He had a great voice on "The Ballad..." album. I'll have to watch the youtube stuff. |
