Oh yeah, GREAT inspired choice! For the uninitiated, here's one of my favorite numbers from their period of transition from psychedelic garage band to huge arena act. Heavy bubblegum!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKZDfXK- 1pM Here's the vid Robert writes about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKE2hmgz Ugo I suppose this is one of those power ballads my friends were speaking of a month or two back, though they won't have ever heard this song. Keays could shift in a split second from big trashy crowd-rousers like "Merry Go Round" to a sensitive-stud opus like "Because I Love You." And for good measure, here's one of my favorites from their later period. I can't remember, it was either a b-side or just something that sat in the can until inclusion on an anthology, but its edgy unique acoustic guitar/vibes/percussion is ahead of its time and neatly demonstrates the class of the band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PC6yLDHL nbw |
