Just listened to cattle and cane, and thought that when Grant first played that to the rest of the band they must have went "oh shit, this is fantastic" any more? for me, The Fall, the first time they nailed "a new face in hell" |

There's loads of those moments. The Bunnymen - The Cutter Van Morrison - Ballerina Kraftwerk - The Model Television - Venus Public Image - Death Disco I have done some compilation playlists of my favourite songs from 5-year periods of music. '95-'99 ends with this selection: Let Down - Radiohead Miss America - David Byrne Trying To Get To Heaven - Bob Dylan Hot Like A Sauna - Tricky Back Together - Baby Bird Falls To Climb - R.E.M. Glory Days - Pulp Three MCs And One DJ - The Beastie Boys Turn It On - The Creatures Only When I Lose Myself - Depeche Mode Legacy - Mansun The Boy With The Arab Strap - Belle & Sebastian Audio X - Cypress Hill Race For The Prize (Remix) - The Flaming Lips Jimmy The Exploder - The White Stripes Here I Go - Public Enemy There's a lot of magic moments there. For me at least. |
