I was missing the old Edwyn message board + also missing hearing updates from his wife Grace about his progress. Just to say that now he is posting his own news on http://www.myspace.com/wwwmyspacecomedwyncollins and it even features some new songs. Nice to read the great mans own words. I can't listen to the songs as my sound-card has packed up. Someone will have to tell me if they are any good! |

Phew...when I saw your post with Edwyn's name only, I thought "uh oh, I hope he didn't die." It's great to hear he's recording again. I'll check out his site and get back to you on how the new stuff sounds. |

and it sounds if never have happened anything to him. the same old familiar voice! now leviathan. good, too. the recordings are sounding if they have been done in a studio. sounds perfect. the guitarplaying is perfect, too. i don't know if edwyn plays this guitar, but if he does he must be on the mend. to describe it with more details and/or with exact words i think you guys out there can done a better job than myself. now 'liberteeange rag'. worth to listen, too. |

I agree with Andreas--what I heard of the new stuff sounds good, ready to be fleshed out into bigger arrangements (or left simple and "unplugged"). When Edwyn is fully recovered, I bet he has an excellent album in store. And his near-death experience will probably lend itself to the most heartfelt work he's ever done. Nearly buying the farm did wonders for both Bob Dylan and Neil Young, after all. |

Ooops, sorry for causing any scares with this thread! Without knowing the full details, I believe that these recordings would date from before his horrible illness? But then again, with a title like 'Home Again'? |

Well, I did wonder if these were pre-illness songs, but like you say Andrew, "Home Again" sure sounds like it would be a new one. |
