you're not wrong there spence.

can i add arcade fire, razorlight ,muse and kaiser chiefs

speaking of overrated, check the NME award winners. cant see any of this lot being talked about 5 years in the future, never mind in the same breath as bands we still eulogise about here more than 25 years later.

kev, yes you can.

Kaiser Chiefs were promising upon the first listen of the song oh my god, I thought it was the Beta Band, but then they turned into a blur tribute, with no sense of originality either in their music or their look.
Muse are really horrible.
Razorliht just say 'Daddy's paying' to me.
Arcade Fire. Still to get into the first album.
Not that I attempt that uch.

been into a lot of quiet music lately, interspersed with the odd moment of loudness. Just downloaded theGo Team's Thunder Lightning. It reminds me of '83 and The Rocksteady Crew! Its great!

At least NME got the Villain of the Year right. Everything else, meltdown.

I rather like Arcade Fire. I don't have the new one yet. I was at a Robyn Hitchcock in store performance in Cleveland a couple of years ago when the first album had just came out. After the show the owner played the first album and it got Robyn's attention enough to inquire who they were. I scooped up the last copy.

Hmm..I still have my Uriah Heep vinyl albums. I think about four of them. I probably haven't played them in over 20 years. No cd's by them or Wolfmother though.
