Hats off to poor Barbaro, magnificent animal and Kentucky Derby winner, who had to be euthanized. I know this doesn't have anything to do with music, but as a passionate animal lover and fan of horse racing (I've wasted a lot of time at the track. A friend used to own the "ass-end" of a racehorse, so I'd go all the time), I felt like respect should be paid. Plus, in the strange way the mind puts things together, I associate him with Grant - he won the Kentucky Derby the same day I heard the news that Grant died. In fact, a friend called me to tell me while I was watching the Derby. | ||

Sorry to hear that--it was a horrible and shocking injury. I'm surprised poor Barbaro made it this long before they decided to put him down. Clever Richard Thompson reference, by the way, LK. |
