Playing two gigs in the UK only (http://www.thechurchband.com/news/index. phtml) including, lucky old us, Brighton - seems we are back on the gig circuit- The Fall, Midlake and The Church within a month. Anyway never really been into them but feel I should go with the GM connection and all that. I know they are popular on here so what should I expect and what should I listen to to enhance the evening? |

I think we had a long hurchc discussion about half a year ago on here so that might be a place to get everyones opinions. They played a lot of old stuff when touring with the Pretenders recently in Auz so maybe some classic 80's rucchh like The Blurred Crusade might be a place to start. Uninvited like the Meateaters...sorry, clouds, will probably also feature too. Just don't let Steve Kilbey know that you eat meat or you'll get a bass permanently lodged in your head!!!! |

We saw their acoustic tour in NYC last summer and it was a really great concert. As a full-on electric band they sound like they belong in a stadium, and I mean that in a good way. I really like their recent output... from the past 10 - 11 years. |
