Hi Not been back in a few weeks but I've got a question for you all. Is it frowned on round these parts to post links to your own website? Reason I ask is that a friend and I run a website poll about Scottish music and we could do with some tasteful contributions and I couldn't help noticing that everyone's a list maker round here! Won't post a link but my username is a big clue! Oh and please note my comment about Grant on the Authors page if you do find us! |

No, not frowned on at all. Your site sounds like something people here would enjoy. Let's have that link! |

I'm in enough trouble here already...a little more can't hurt. Very nice site, by the way, Dave. |

Kurt's right, Dave. It's common practice around here to link to our personal Web presences. Padraig has an extensive MySpace site he links to regularly, and other people provide links to their bands' sites, music they've recorded, etc. I wouldn't give it a second thought, and I look forward to giving the site a look-see. |

I think it's outrageous that people would think to sully this website with links to their own. www.myspace.com/padraigcollins |

All right, then: If anyone wants to hear my melodious voice, I've been contributing segments for a podcast for the Pitchfork Music Festival, which is run by a friend of mine here in Chicago. The podcasts are here: http://www.pitchforkmusicfestival.com/ In the first one, I interviewed poster artist Jay Ryan; in the second, All Tomorrow's Parties founder Barry Hogan; and in the third, jazz bassist William Parker. If you're skipping around in the podcasts and you hear a voice that sounds like Kermit the Frog with a deviated septum, that's me! |

So it's not frowned upon; it's obligatory? ;-) Even if it's as offensive as Kevin's link?! :-D In that case looking forward to some tasteful selections coming in. We've published a new chart this morning and some of the good ones are slipping down |

Well, this isn't me, this is a singer/songwriter & his wife who live locally and will I hope sell enough of their stuff on the net to become rich and famous and keep me in wine and cheesecake for the rest of time... http://www.plunkett.it/home.shtm |
