So Google has released this nifty new way to compare the world’s interest in your favorite topics (http://www.google.com/trends?hl=en). You can enter topics and see how often they’ve been searched for on Google over time. Google Trends also shows which geographic regions have searched for them most often. Of course the first words I entered were “Go-Betweens,” and a search spike occurs in the second quarter of 2005, when Oceans Apart was released. The biggest spike occurring when Grant died last May. Not surprisingly the greatest number of searches comes from Australia, but Vienna is the third highest location where searches have originated. Who knew? Perhaps I’m letting my geek flag fly too high here, but I thought this was kinda neat. Austin |

Thanks Austin, I'm sure we'll all have fun with that search. You're among friends here; and being a geek is OK. |

Thanks Padraig! Glad to see I didn't take "geekdom" too far! |
