I remember back in the mid-80s when USA Network had a late-night show that showed a huge jumble of semi-obscure videos and films, and URGH was one of their staples. Must have seen it at least five times. |

I used to run the film program at my college and I showed that movie every year. It was always a hit. |

You're right, Spence--Partridge is so into it there that it makes you wonder how that crippling stagefright got to him a year or two later. I was lucky enough to see XTC once, after "Drums and Wires" came out, and it was out-of-this-world good. I think they lost something after they became a studio-only band, though they made many good records after "Black Sea." |

Which reminds me, is XTC defunct? I know Partridge did the Monstrance set and has busied himself with repackaging and marketing the Warbles stuff, but it's been ages since his last repackaging of "Apple Venus". You were indeed lucky, btw, Kurt. |

I was reading an interview with Partridge in the wake of his big box set release, and while he didn't exactly declare XTC dead forever, he said Colin Moulding really isn't into it anymore, so the likelihood of any new XTC product is pretty slim. |

Well said Spence on Sense Working Overtime! Of course he likes the new wife; but if the last one hadn't left him he wouldn't have written the exquisite I'm The Man Who Murdered Love. His pain, our gain. |
