Stumbled across this recently and sounds like a wonderful idea that I hope sees the light one day.

The preview looks great! I do wonder whether if there is still footage of that legendary Glasgow Tech gig with Orange Juice/Josef K/Go-Betweens. The latter had Stephen from OJ drumming that night I believe.

Yeah Andrew I hope so too. I have had contact with Grant who's doing it all and he seems like his feet are firmly on the floor with it all. I reckon it might take longer than anyone thinks, but heck it would be worth it. In many ways I suppose it would be like all those Rock Family Trees programmes that were on years ago, they were excellent.

Spence,

Any idea where this might be from? Poor Old Soul + Rip It Up from the OJ Mk2 with Malcolm Ross and Zeke. I have never seen it before...

I have no idea Andrew. either mid '82 or early '83. Leicester? Its real D.I.S.C.O. too! Great stuff, really slick apart from Ed's shambolic solo towards end of rip it up on his Burns Nu Sonic! I touched that geetar once! Actualy the Start malcolm is playing there I think he rsold just a couple of years ago to Keef Richards' jeweller for £5k.

Heard Edwyns new single last night on BBC6. Kinda soul vibe, late 60s Mowtown - a bit like a slow version of A Girl Like You, could be another hit.

I haven't heard it, apart from what s on his MySpace. I must say, as a massive OJ and Edwyn C influenced person, who adored him and based my teenage look on the guy, that his solo stuff, unfortunately bored the hell out of me. I I liked the odd song, his first album suffered as most records did atthe time from the 80's sinn drum and genereal bottled reverb effect, mean, in '89 who could compete with Doolittle tho? He is an inspiration and especially given his current set of circumstances, a verystrong soul.
