I ordered it, but did not received it until now. but what i heard from it must be very good. i also read that he will touring with the teenage fan club as backing band. i don't know if that will relly happen, but if it will i hope that he will come also to germany.

for those who live in london an dhave lots of time: he will be at the rough trade shop on september 11 at 6 pm and will sign his new album.
this is great, isn't it?

cheers

Funny you mention this, I was just listening to "Joy of a Toy" today. Great album; I wonder what his new stuff sounds like.

i must say i am really looking forwrd to hearing it. only ever heard one tune by him, 'May I' on the Whistle Test DVD. It was a really funny performance, it just seems really dated, odd, odd guitar tremelo spooks me out. I can see who Julian Cope based his entire career upon. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=4-oQUE9fgz M

spence, the new album is fabulous and i would rate it among his best albums ever (btw: released on spence's/gob's label lo-max/tuition!!!). a seemingly unspectacular, easy-going enyoable uneventful album,on which every tone fits.
