Hello everyone !

If anyone could advise the best way to get hold of the new Go Betweens Songbook in the UK I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Wilson

The Songbook will be released simultaneous with Robertīs new album late March/early April.
The book will feature a foreword by Robert Forster, 26 songs (chosen by Robert & Grant), with guitar tabs, correct lyrics, many unreleased photos and a huge essay on the band. Bi-lingual (German - English)

chuckling
Well, Spence, maybe I'll just put my capo onto the third fret and play the chord progression to 'Ask' from Before Hollywood.

(As if, and as follows: )

A - F - G....
G...... E minor....

And then, how about some tabs in the key of G minor during the bridge? Still to be worked out from there....

and in a similar vein throughout. I love the sheer raw power of that song.... just worked it out in my head on the way home. It's uncanny!

Hi Elizabeth, Liz ?, Betty ?

Keep the capo on the third and play that opening chord strum for Streets of Your Town...after that's made you smile you can either play "I don't want to talk about it" also capo at 3, or move the capo to 2 and go up the neck to find that wonderful Marr shuffle from "Heaven Knows I'm miserable now"...

Yes, we play guess the intro at our house !

The Essay was written by German Author Klaus Walter. He writes frequently for Frankfurter Rundschau and has his own Radio show on national HR1 Radio. Friends do also call him "Professor Go-Between".
