Now, I'm sure my good buddy Spence would be too modest to post this, so I will. Well done mate.

Spence, got Born In The Sun from Napster today, have heard it once right through and thought it sounded very promising. Particularly taken with the first two songs, especially White Pearls. Looking forward to hearing it again, like Rob says great cover.

Now now Spence, I'm not gonna head for Negative Town (copyright Ian Wright last Wednesday!!). I'll listen to it a good few times before the weekend.
Anyway, when did you overtake me in the post count, you must have sneaked up stealthlike, either that or you've been posting a lot of rubbish :-)

Amazon UK was supposed to send this to me on November 12. Then they recently sent me a message that it was being held back until January.

I take it Amazon UK is full of $#^& Spence?

That's right, UK is out now rest of world in January. Label decision. They're nice people who know best, Randy I'll send y a copy if you like.

Kev, see you in positively sesame street! I loved that response from Wrighty to Hansen, Christ hansen is so effin boring..he can't get over himself, I loved him as a player though, big Pool fan I was when aI was a kid. he still looks like Captain Scarlet too.!
On the post count, I noticed that too, Christ I need to getta life more!

Fantastic 4 star review of the album in the new edition of Uncut by the well respected journalist Chris Roberts.

"Midlands based TWO have sensibly streamlined to focus on gifted multi -instrumentalist Spencer Roberts lush soundscapes and Caroline Trettine's deep, spectral voice. Born In The Sun comes in with big guns blazing, the compelling Morricone hooks of White Pearls......."
"Folkish accoustic restraint takes over with echoes of Love and The Go-Betweens........"

Must admit I'm really enjoying it Spence, standouts for me are White Pearls and my favourite track What Does Not Break You.

Despite the fact that the people on Tuition are nice people, I never will understand why there are different release dates for one album. Especially in that new times...

But if I understand Randy correctly they also delayed the release until January in the UK, too.

The songs on My Space promises a really good album. I am sure that I will like it, too.

I re-checked my email from Amazon UK. I read too fast. What they actually told me is that the order is delayed and I should expect it sometime between December 19 and January 8. Originally, the release date was supposed to be November 12 so I really didn't expect this. Maybe it's just an Amazon thing.

And, no, Spence. I'm buying this. Do not send me a copy. But thanks for the offer.

I'm waiting for it to arrive in the post....and then a few gigs in Liverpool or Manchester wouldn't go down too badly!

Cheers

I don't think I can make next Friday....a week before payday!!! And for one I'm not going to have a go at anyone going to NZ.

A tour next year might be a good job.

Cheers

The cover kinda kinda reminds me of the inlay sleeve to Ragged Glory, Don't Spook the Horse!

Cheers Frank, Si and Jeff and everyone. Yep its nice. We have had great reviews in Q, Uncut and now Word, which is great as Word mag is probably the coolest out of all of em. I am chuffed, more so for Caroline Trettine than myself. And also for tuition, the lable behind us, they have shown us incredible support.
So, if you do get it, hope you enjoy, if you don't, rest in the glory that the independednt slagged us off in an amazing review, said we are the pet shop boyz with acoustic guitars, and to download the shortest song possible as the album's so bad. What was he expecting Maximo effin park!!?? i gave up trying to be Josef k 15 years ago mate. Nice one!
