Hi New York friends

The reason you're getting this is that I'm under the impression that you are someone who knew Grant McLennan and might want to hear about a little get together we are having on his birthday, Tuesday Feb 12th at a bar called HiFi at 169 Ave A at 8pm.

As you know Grant died in 2006 but for various reasons I wasn't able to arrange this last year. I hope you'll all be able to stop by this time and help us remember Grant in his favourite setting, a bar. The HiFi's owner Mike Stuto, knew Grant from Mike's time at Thirsty Ear/Beggar's Banquet and he will have the juke box suitably stacked for the night.

So drop by and have a drink. Grant's favourite was a Long Island Iced Tea but I'm not sure I could recommend too many of those!

Looking forward to seeing you.

Robert

I'd already heard about this through the Internet chain... my wife and I are planning to come down to "Brownies" and toast to Grant's memory and life's accomplishments.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Although in Michigan, I will raise a toast to the memory of one of the heroes tonight.

Wish I could be with you in NY...

It would have been Grant's 50th birthday.
I am sad that I cannot come living here in Germany, but be sure I will as well raise a glass on Grant.
This august I will hopefully get 50 years old...

Thinking of you and Grant and his friends and family,
Andreas.

We'll have a few Long Islands here in Long Beach, in honor of this stellar musician and wonderful human being. He's still with us in one way or another... every night and day.

A bottle of Pinot while listening to the go-betweens catalog in honor of Grant tonight...

Liberty Belle never sounded so good.

My acoustic guitar on hand to play Right Here and Bye Bye Pride...

When I'm good and drunk I'll watch Acoustic Stories and unashamedly shed some tears.

Miss you GM

I've raised a glass of good bordeaux while hearing an acoustic set on danish radio from 1991 with robert and grant only - wonderful set.
afterwards the new wonderful sampler "love goes on" with beatiful versions of grant songs...

breaking heart.
