It's called Incognita and it came out in late 2002. I did not hear about it at the time but picked it up for $6 last Monday in a second hand place. I played it that evening and some of it I liked a lot. The rest might take a while to grow on me. It's mostly instumental and two of the six songs with vocals feature other women singers. Some of the music reminds me of Australian band The Cruel Sea's more country-ish moments. The work seems to have been commissioned by a theatre company and is "set in the seared landscape of the Australian interior". |
