This isnt about Split Enz, sorry, but rather the phenomenon of leaking. I notice that both Racontures and Gnarles Barkley are rush releasing records apparently to foil those that would leak. Btw - I dunno who's been in charge of keeping Forster's record safe and secure, but I aint seen any leaks and I been looking! (I'ma buy it anyway if and when it comes out). | ||

I think you kind of have to be in the "big leagues" in order to legitimately worry about leakage (at least leakage on any meaningful scale). I'd posit it's safe to say Robert isn't quite there. I could be wrong - maybe I'm grossly underestimating Robert's fan base. But I also think the younger and broader the demographic, the more widespread the leak. Brilliant Split Enz song, by the way. | ||

Depends on what yer definition of is is. Admittedly RF's total net from this record probably wont equal Jack Black or Joe White or whatever his name is' nail polish budget. But still you think itd generate enough buzz for someone to leak it, specially when you consider how you can find all kinds of other obscuro nuevo wavo artists leaked out there - you name it. Silver Jews, Ruby Suns yada yada. It seems strange that with the whatever it is, few thousand that'll buy this, nobody, some rabid fan, or record co. guy hasn't stuck it out there. Im just sayin. | ||

My take is that it's not going to generate sufficient buzz to where leaks are abundant and well-publicized, a la Gnarles Barkley et al. Like Kevin suggested, with Forster, you just need to dig a bit deeper. |
