..ditto Joe,
maybe one day we could do this for the Melbourne board contributors.

It was a year ago I was in London, it was a week ago I was in Brisbane seems fate is not falling my way..
However the safety of 'The Evangelist' and all the group and solo albums of Robert and Grant are always with me.

Sounds a good idea spence, but my cricketing (or standing round in the field for 3 hours waiting for a 15 minutes bat) might get in the way of things....but if I can and it was quite close I'd certainly consider it.

Cheers
Jon

Damn! Having a job is such a pain in the @#$! But, Spence, a meet in Oz sounds excellent. I'd love to go back to Brisbane and I'd like to go to Melbourne too.

I think this is a great idea! The logistics of the whole thing could be impossible achieve.

Spence, you'll have to take a year off work, hitch up the Winnebago collecting followers, cultists & curious bystanders on your way around the world!!!

In my experience, the only way to get more than one G-B fan in a room is when there's a gig in town. It's in your hands Robert Forster!

To this day I have not met one single Go-Betweens msg. board personality in the flesh. And I'm apparently the only one here from the SF Bay Area, too (or at least I'm the only one who admits it).

Yeah, Randy and LK - cough - Ewan are in Southern California, which is a 7-8 hour drive south from where I live in the Bay Area. Definitely far enough that it's safe to say bumping into either of 'em is highly unlikely. If there are any other Californians here, they lurk silently.

I'm a SoCal (Burbank) lurker too. If Robert plays the City of West Hollywood again we'll have to meet for a beer beforehand.

If anybody's uo for a UK meet I'd be there - and hope to make it to Australia early next year on a 3-month sabbatical from work.

Allan - with two ll's like so many Go-betweens album titles - that's French - no harm in that, but I wouldn't share that too widely if I were you, what with 'Freedom Fries' etc.
Phuck Bush, impeach the b*stard.
It's hard to forgive that man for the suffering he's needlessly inflicted on the world.
Never, ever, ever elect anyone like that again please ...

..on Melbourne's RRR radio, Robert was interviewed and confirmed was playing 'The Toff' in August.
Fair call Joe, the winds at that time freeze the eyebrows pretty quickly.

Now I can let the excitement gain momentum for that time.

Count me in for a UK/Irl meet-up. And hey, any excuse to get back to Oz!! I'd better start saving now!
