Great pics, Simon! Nice juxtaposition with the ones from Warwick gig in '87. Thanks. |

That juxtaposition was fortuitous - I couldn't believe it when I saw the two similar pics together. |

Thanks Simon I would ahve liked to have some from Manchester, but was warned off as it wasn't venue policy blah, blah, blah. It didn't stop someone a couple of seats down getting loads...so hopefully he's on here and can get them uploaded...around Row A Seat 15 - you know who you are! Cheers Jon |

Thanks Simon! Glad to see a sensible middle-aged man like Robert likes a good white vest... And your photos from Warwick are great. For the link cut and paste www.flickr.com/photos/23678069@N04/ |

Mick, the gig was at Warwick Uni, and handily I was there visiting my girlfriend on a weekend when the Go-Betweens played, I think a Friday or Saturday night. It was a free gig too, as the stage is in the middle of the student union building rather so couldn't be cut off (in pic GB4 you can just see the snack bar in the top left - probably a major source of Student Union income). The link does work - just makes sure you get that @N04/ at the end of the link. I don't know why it doesn't highlight it when I paste the link across (this happened last time I posted pics, so I know it works!). So rather than clicking on the link, copy and paste the whole line. Good luck. Just noticed that Andrew Kerr has said the same thing. Doh. And as for the vest - it takes a braver man than me. |

Mick, I think Isish Centre gig was '89. Simon, i saw GB's at Wolves Poly, though it doesn't make it on to the gigography, I know they played, I was there!! The Weather prophets supported. Robert walked down off the front of the stage and stood right in front of me. I went blood red of course! Shame I missed the Warwick gig. Yeah Robert looked very handsome. He took off the tie and the jacket and he oozed charisma, he could of easily bottled it and sold it on the stall, along with the artefacts and tee shirts! |

Spence, I can't remember if the GBs had support at Warwick (which was on May 9, 1987 according to the gigography), but I can remember his trousers were very cool indeed - bright red. But then again he's always cool. Plus, do you know who to contact about updating the gigography. I lived in Sydney for most of 1988 and saw the G0-Betweens twice, once at the Venue, Dee Why, and once at the Enmore Theatre, at the "Night of Miracles". They were supported by The Died Pretty, a hypnotist (I volunteered and went down on stage but I didn't "go under") and a magician who specialised in kids' parties - and did his usual act. It was, needless to say, a great and wondrous night. I've got some (pretty poor) pics of the Dee Why gig and a flyer for the Enmore gig. I've also got my diaries (somewhere) so should be able to get the dates - as neither of those two gigs are on the gigography. |

Support at the Warwick gig was Friends of the Family followed by Lowlife (feat. Will Heggie of the Cocteau Twins). |

Simon.... just realised, on pic GB4 the two people at the front in white t-shirts are me and my mate Rhys. We blagged our way in cos we didn't have an SU pass. A brilliant pic and very happy memories! |

mb - nice coincidence! And I don't remember either of the support acts. By the way, I've just added a scan of Adele's setlist to the Flickr page (I'm getting the hang of this technology lark). And I'm looking forward to seeing some of you - and Robert Forster again - at tomorrow's QEH gig. |

Been listening to the RF gig that I downloaded and was reminded how great Darlinghurst Nights sounded, the elongated version, towards the end, was remarkable, again, so tight and what a brilliant, brilliant drummer! Enjoy your night in London folks!! |

Si, I think The Servants may have supported GB's as well as Weather prophets at Wolves. |
