I'm hoping Man Utd. Anyone else think it's ridiculous this is being played in Moscow. The sooner they begin to pick a venue based on the finalists the better. |

As a good Liverpool fan I'm hoping for an outbreak of Bird Flu and this season's competition becoming null and void! To me its like asking which foot you want the shark to bite off. It was on another website its like Alien = Preditor : Whoever wins we all lose. To be serious Man Ure v CSKA London, I'll go for Utd as I'm proud to say that the 10 winners of the competition not one comes from the smoke. And as a quiz question the 10 winners from England.... Liverpool 5 times Notts Forest 2 times Man Utd 2 times (at the moment) Aston Villa 1 time Cheers Jon |

Well said Kevin and best wishes for tomorrow, it'd be especially poignant to win the SPL after Tommy Burns pasing away. First time I've seen you claim your Britishness too :-) Jaysus what a game, Utd played great in the 1st half, two great chances...Chelski outplayed Utd in 2nd half but made nothing of it...overall thrilled, united had abit of luck in Europe for the first time in years when it really happened. Some dodgy cards too...that's all i can manage as i'm a bit drunk.. |

Kevin Didn't forget about them at all, but as its an all-English final I didn't think it worth discussing. I'll include it when we have the 1st England-Scotland final (if your lot can make it through the group stages). I didn't see too much of the match, but Drogba getting sent off, the fake Ronaldo and Terry both missing pens gives me plenty to keep me going. Cheers Jon |

As Mr E Smith says, I 'm afraid I share his opinion of today's football, 22 overpaid prima donna's prancing on a lawn. |

Am I the only one who was actually there last night? Obviously gutted we lost but as usual these things are settled by the smallest things..a slip, hitting the woodwork, one great save etc. But on the positive side it was a great experience, tremendous time had by everyone there. In a strange way having it in Moscow worked well - no ticketless fans, numbers kept down and everyone being too scared of the russian authorities created a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Roll on Rome next year! |

It starts at 4.45am Kevin! It's on Setanta here, but I don't have Setanta (or any other cable channels for that matter). I'll be checking the BBC website on my BlackBerry in the morning. I was in the pub earlier and talking about Celtic with some Australian and New Zealander friends as it happens. One of them has Setanta, and I saw the Old Firm game that started Celtic's current run in his house a few weeks back; but his wife has just had their second child so I'm not going there tonight! |

That's good, fesr of Russian authorities would keep most people in the free world in check. Keep on rocking!!! I'm quite looking forward to the Scots cup final for the fist time ever. Rangers quadruple cups could easily turn into a single. If Queens Of The Stone Age can add some hefty riffs to their semi-final goal-scoring exploits, it'll be a walk-over. |

No spence I was not working that day, so saw the whole nerve shredding game, but muted celebrations on the alcohol front as I was working on Friday till 10:30pm, then working from 06:30am this morning. However, I cracked open my first championship winning beer at 7pm tonight, probably be sleeping by 11pm!! |

C Gull. Not been on here for a while, but I was there too. Oh, the ecstasy and the agony!! Ah well, 25 years ago, the Blues were only just avoiding slipping into the old Division Three by beating Bolton at Burnden Park (I was there too, so I've paid my dues). I had an 'interesting' coach transfer from Sheremtyevo airport to the Luzhniki stadium. A journey that should take an hour was getting towards its third when it became clear that the coach driver was lost - clear because he stopped about eight times to ask for directions and, despite his lack of English and his passengers' lack of Russian, enlisted one of the latter group to sit beside him and try to read a map. It transpired he'd gone the wrong way around the ring road (imagine going the 'wrong' way around the M25 and you can imagine the scale of this. Farce turned to near tragedy when, after persuading him to take us into town (which he'd been told not to do) and not all the way around the ring road to the stadium, he missed his turning, then attempted to back up about a quarter mile to the turning. This on a motorway, remember. None of the other drivers seemed to find this unusual, however, despite our screams. When that failed, he decided to take the next turning, then did a three-point turn on another four-lane highway. After that near-death experience, losing a champions league final on pens seemed relatively untraumatic. Onwards and upwards. |

Peter What do you think of what's turning into your farce of the summer - trying to get a manager. You seem to be looking at every Italian who's ever managed in the Champions League, while your main man has gone to Inter. I suppose I can't comment on farce's with everything that's happened at Liverpool in the last couple of years! Cheers Jon |

Well, not sure if it's all just media talk and is in fact going smoothly. Our big mistake was getting rid of the special one, of course. |

I think it is all going smoothly, we are just waiting for Euro 2008 to finish and then we'll pounce. Steve McLaren will be in place as soon as he's finished broadcasting for 5Live. Hopefully he'll bring Stuart Downing in to replace Malouda (or get Phil Driver back). |

I'm hoping for that chap who was sacked from Derby, Billy Davies, and maybe we can get some of their record-breaking squad in. |

Suddenly everyone in SW6 is feeling a lot brighter. Apparently Scolari has persuaded Ronaldo to replace Malouda now. |
