Hi, my name is Blair, im originally from Brisbane, but im working in london as a teacher and a music promoter. I used to work at a nightclub in brisbane called the zoo, which robert actually just played at a few weeks ago, wish i was working then, would have been very intimate setting. Anyway, im promoting a 24 song compilation record from the brisbane music scene which is the 2nd version of such project called 'brisbane sounds 2008'. It crosses the alt-country, pop, rock, punk, instrumental and indie genres of the brisbane music scene and its all about spreading the word about the brisbane music scene and how good it is, to the uk and europe. I will be at the gig, handing out copies, i have 1000 copies, but i will only be taking about 50 copies to the gig, so hopefully i can meet a few people on here first who are going to the london gig and who might want one. Its a fully professional, 24 song, mastered record, artwork by tim steward of screamfeeder fame- famous early 90's brisbane band, and support from 4zzz radio, who were one of the first stations to play the GB. The cd is free as it is a sampler/compilation, i hope to one day work in the scene and be a promoter/booker/band manager etc, and this has so far been a very good opportunity as the project has recieved some really good reviews!
