Saw Robert's two shows in New York on Monday. Set-lists were similar. The group was definitely looser for the second show. The highlight for me from both sets was the "Quiet Heart" cover. Fitting tribute to Grant. Anyone else out here have any comments on, or reviews of the shows? |

I can affirm that it's a great sounding, gorgeous recording. Life-affirming stuff that renders other annoying energy sucks like traffic, bills and Caribou Barbie momentarily irrelevant. Glenn and Adele go down as utility players of the century. They greatly enhance the proceedings. Oh, you lucky lucky bastids that got to see this lineup and set of songs live... |

The high point for me is, unsurprisingly, Quiet Heart. It didn't exactly make me weep like a little girl, but I must confess it was a damn near thing. Loverly arrangement and the backup vox, assuming they're done, once again, by G and A, really shine. Gotta say, too, hearing them in this context has revivified some songs I'd heretofore lost interest in, like German Fahmhaus and Darlingithurts Nights. I Can Do, well, never mind.... |

Yes, G and A were doing the back-up vox. Another highlight was (a song I had "heretofore lost interest in") first set closer "Heart out to Tender." |

..really pleased that all of you are enjoying this tour so much...the comments are so spot on with the songs that we may let pass by from time to time. I have just returned from a week up the coast and the set list and many more have featured in my motor's CD rack. Enjoy all that RF, Adele,Glenn and Matt offer its illuminating and lets us share in musical triumphs. |

We went to the second show and it was fabulous. Robert invited the whole crowd over to Jesse Malin's bar on the Bowery for a drink afterwards and a handful of fans trod over to extend the Monday night festivities... I never got a chance to talk with Mr. Forster, but I did say "hi" to a couple members of the band, to Robert Vickers and to this board's own Jonathan Turner! There's an "audience" recording on Dimeadozen and I emailed nyctaper for a FLAC link, but I think I'll go ahead and get the mp3 (the FLAC link didn't work). We're off to All Tomorrow's Parties tomorrow and I hope we hear something over the 3-day weekend that approaches the satisfaction of Monday's performance. |

Thanks Misha for that link! It is a wonderful quality and Adele is kind of taking the place besides Robert. Her parts of singing is getting more and more and it is wonderful. I haven't heared more than the first four songs this morning, but it rocks! Looking forward to my way back home for hearing more of it!! Waiting to see them in cologne and frankfurt ) |

Frank, it *does* take forever to download, but I just went away and did some other things during the hour or so that it took. Worth the wait, though, especially to hear Quiet Heart. |

Downloading right now and it is taking an age. Maybe because other people are downloading it at the same time? |

That download didn't work for me. It got to about 95% done and then stopped. Can someone who has managed to download it send it to me track by track? |
