Okay, just got back to Edinburgh from the Glasgow show and it was stunning. Just under 2 hours (8-10pm, my kinda time!) with Robert and band on terrific form and a special mention has to go out to Adele ("the duchess of the deep end"). Set was along the lines of the "Joe's Pub" download but don't recall Did She Overtake You. Although we did get If It Rains, Here Comes A City, Rock And Roll Friend and People Say! Best chat was Robert saying he needed a haircut but the barber around the corner wouldn't do it, something to do with their 40th birthday, and then seemed rather alarmed at having to have it cut in Manchester!! Anyone at future shows looking to fill any holes in their collections, take your wallet! There is just about everything for GB/RF available - singles, vinyl LPs, cassettes (!) CDs and T-shirts. |

Second that, what a performance, started rather slowly as I guess folk started arriving as it was an early show. Glenns amp howled feedback at one point to which RF replied "thats the no wave version". RF seemed in very good spirits and was even signing T shirts etc and chatting afterwards. They even sold out of various GB products. Go see the show if you can. |
