This month's edition of Uncut Magazine has a feature on Guy Clark. Not altogether surprisingly, Robert adds his two-cents to the piece. |

I've got to get that one. Thanks. I think that Guy Clark is still an unsung hero. Maybe the uncut piece can shift a few listers his way. Robert has done his thing well promoting the man for quite a while, rightfully so. |

Robert's cover of "Broken Hearted People" and namecheck of Clark in "Dear Black Dream" got me into the Texan and I now have every album. He really is one of the great songwriters. Can't wait till this turns up in Australia. Man, I wished he'd tour here again. |

Didnt' Robert also write the sleeve-notes for a Guy Clark compilation a few years ago? |

Pete, you're back! I was just thinking of you a half hour ago in Woolworths! (There was a guy there who looked like you, or at least what you will look like when you're 45!) |

Thanks for that Pat, will pick it up. I watched an excellent documentary on Townes Van Zandt a few weeks back called "Be Here To Love Me", it was at times harrowing and hilarious. Guy Clark and his wife make some good contributions to it along with Steve Earle and Steve Shelley. I see his Old No 1 and Texas Cooking release as a double cd for 6 euro recently, a bargain. |

Padraig, I'd hate to imagine what I'll look like at 45 the rate I'm going. Errrrrrr... Don't send me a picture of that guy. Listed to Guy Clark's "Cold Dog Soup" album last night. Just great. Andrew, I'd love to know what comp Forster wrote the liner notes for. I'm guessing it's probably an Australian comp released by Raven a few years back? |

Dear Black Dream led me to Guy's work. He is the best of that Texas outlaw group. Unfortunately, he usually only tours with 3 other guys(Lyle Lovett, et al) so his stage time is limited. I was lucky enough to see him at a solo gig four years back in Eugene, Oregon. He played for 2 plus hours and was amazing. |

I have met one of the Clarke sisters and she is in no way related to Guy Clark. ;) |
