I am staying home, for a rest. Its been a funny year this year, i think for everyone. We as a family have not really had a break to speak of. I can moan, tho its hard to think my life as an unfair world when you look around you, in Zimbabwe for instance, but I suppose we all have our own little worlds to look after too. I want to attempt to rustle up a tasty roast (apologies to veggies). i want to make it look like you wanna eat it too. Its very enjoyable having a roast in our house now, as my twins, sit at the table now they are 3 and 3/4, eat through a yorkshire pudding to leave a ring, that they then look at me through shouting "I can see you Dadda", then they fill the middle in with carrots, mash and pieces of chicken. Ho ho ho! |

Absolutely adorable, thanks for sharing...I'm going up to Seattle (110 miles from here) on the train to visit my kid (who's 18) for a few days right around Xmas, but otherwise things will be quiet here as well. |

Spence, ya sexy beast, where ya been? You are the boards soul, mate. A GoBes board without da Spencer is like a day without sunshine, franks without beans, Rice Krispies without bananas and sushi without wasabi! Me, being Jewish, I don't celebrate X-mas, but I don't begrudge the goyim their fun. I even like some of the songs, if sung by Tony Bennett, particularly the one about the deer with the glowing shnozzola. |

Hey Spencer, welcome back! There hasn't been enough Josef K or Magazine love around here later, glad yer back! I hear you about Zimbabwe and that's why I choose to recognize Kwanzaa rather than the usual decadent Western celebration but to each his own, right mate? |

not quite Christmas but we're taking the little one to Lapland tomorrow (the real one not the New Forest) to check FC has not forgotten anything. I am a bit worried he might be quite busy at the mo although possibly laying off elves as a reult of the credit crunch. |

I'll be spending Christmas day with my family (aww!). My brother's cooking free-range goose, I'm cooking free-range turkey at my parents' place and then driving it over (it worked last year). Not going away, but will be house- and cat-sitting for friends over new year. Will be going to Mallorca for a cycling training camp in February for my new job, testing bikes and kit and the like for a cycling magazine. Woohoo! C Gull - glad you're not going to the Lapland in the New Forest! That didn't sound like much of a day out. |

Spence- you've just cheered me up! Official report Lapland brilliant - Holiday In the Snow Highly recommended. I can confirm the magic of Christmas is alive and well in the eyes of many four year olds. |

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! What an utter prat. I think Santa Claus had a hand in this. Foxes and stags both know what it's like to be chased by a pack of baying dogs (along with a bunch of beagles). In solidarity with the foxes, the stags had a word with their northern cousins, the reindeer. They in turn had a quick word with "the boss", who had a word in the ear of the judge. I rest my case... |

Not doing too much, I never do reall, as I['m not too fussed with it all. So I'll be at home watching anything that might be decent, and working the other days. I suppose its not the same if you've not got children (Unless your The Royle Family - sorry UK based reference). Thanks Spence, that's made my little day, its a shame life's too easy for him, can I suggest he gets upgraded and has a decent stretch. Have a good one, one and all. Cheers Jon |
