Love Won't Let Me Wait - Major Lance

Soul tune that would now be called a slow jam, one of a number of 70s radio hits featuring women gasping orgasmically in the background ("Tonight's the Night") or foreground ("Let's Do it Again" - wonder what Mavis Staples' pastor thought of that one).

triffids - hell of a summer

it's all too ironic at the moment. it's grey, rainy and rather miserable in melbourne with a week to go til christmas. apparently some shaman or something on the radio this morning predicted a white christmas in the snowfields.

"happy god, happy god" (in best rod & todd voice)

A rough demo (music only at this stage) by The Winnebago Orchestra dedicated to the fiscal greed and shenanigans, environmental and human suffering and shit that's going on, its called 'Fu*ked.' We're coming back as a hard edged agit pop group, gone are the wistful harps and poetry corner, we're gonna give WASP a run for their money, WASP are in aren't they!!??

Caroline Trettine - When I go home.

Joe, I was listening to Hell of a Summer last night. I'm not a huge fan but love that song and Raining Pleasure. Saw them once at the Paddington RSL in Sydney in 1988; they were okay, not great - but much to my surprise did a cracking version of Madonna's Into the Groove.
And after The Triffids last night I fell asleep listening to Belle and Sebastian's Tigermilk, a fantastic debut album.

raining pleasure is one of my favourites too simon. so creepy and really shouldn't work...but an epic none the less. was the cover better than ciccone youth's? one of the best i reckon.

more of an if you're feeling sinister man myself, but you can soundtrack my flat anytime you like! electronic renaissance!!
