My god, they are dropping like flies! http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/ne ws/148947-cramps-frontman-lux-interior-r ip I never listened to the Cramps that much, but I always loved their aesthetic. I'd look at photos of them, or see them live footage, and was convinced they had to be the coolest band alive. |

Saw them at the Glasgow Apollo in 1979. The crowd hated them (and most bands were rightfully shit scared of the Glasgow crowd in those dark days)but what does the bold Lux do? - thats right he threw himself head first in to the first few rows of drunken mad psychos. |

That's a great story, Kev. Such a sad loss. And he was 60. That, of course, is too young an age to go, but he was obviously in great health consider he seemed to possess limitless energy right up until the end. |

I love the Cramps and one of my greatest (musical) regrets is never seeing them live, I wish Lux would leave me his record collection |

This is awful news. Was always hoping I'd catch them live at some stage... Side 1 of A Date With Elvis is probably my favourite 5/6 song sequence of theirs... He was really young, do they know what was the cause of death? |

Lux and Ivy were together as a couple since 1972 and were married in the late 70's. I hope she can handle this. |

Michael, I was thinking about how this is sad end to what had to have been one of rock's coolest and longest lasting couples. Count me in, too, as someone who never got to see them live but always wanted to. |

RIP indeed. I was never a fan, but admired their unique, much copied sound. The first song I ever heard was Garbage Man. A friend, Mike, saw them loads, he was a fan. Shame. |
