no jeff, its off your myspace! the other tunes are great, some great all round instrumentation from yourself there!! Sounding great, some really nice touches, I like your use of patterns in all the instruments you play, there's something very el about it all, its very sophisticated Jeff.

Hugh Thw Walkabouts, did they have a song called the light will stay on or summit? loved that song. Weren't they german?

Loneliness Shines - Malcolm Middleton.

I thought this was called "Load o' shite" from just listening, quite possible for Malcolm of course, but no. Arab Strap never had me bouncing round the flat like this, that's for sure.

Spence, The Walkabouts actually hail from Seattle, Washington, although I can understand the German reference. They recorded their first album for PopLlama Records ( U.S.A.) and the next three for Sub Pop ( U.S.A.) but, when that deal turned sour, they were picked up by Sub Pop ( Germany ) Virgin ( Germany ) and then Glitterhouse ( Germany.) They are far better known in mainland Europe than they are in the U.K. and U.S.A. They are still recording and touring. They recorded a 'covers album' in 1993 ( Satisfied Mind ) which features a version of 'The River People' by Robert Forster.

'The Light Will Stay On' is from their album 'Devil's Road' which was released in 1996. They are a good band.

Song of the day is 'Sun Shines On' by Oliver Mann.

Sadly, Allen, I get a "malformed URL" message with that link. But I DID enjoy watching some Bonzo Dog footage. Viv Stanshall was amazing. But watching the live footage it's easy to understand how trying to be comedic on a typical rock tour schedule might have driven him over the edge and burned all the others out.

The Ballad of You, Me and Pooneil - Jefferson Airplane

Psycho Killer - Talking Heads

Orgone Accumulator - Talking Heads

I'm listening to all sorts at the moment and I'm dipping into stuff I haven't listened to for a while. Always enjoyed Hawkwind live, and Orgone is a great rollicking beast of a song devoted to the - possible bonkers - Wilhelm Reich, also the subject of Kate Bush's Cloudbusting. And maybe it's time for some Bonzos now...

Don't think it's the Johnny Winter song! It's from the Where Joy Kills Sorrow v/a comp from 1998.
