I'm presently reading A Darker Domain by Brit crime writer Val McDermid (creator of TV's Wire in the Blood). The main protagonist is Brodie McLennan Grant. Coincidence? Her fellow Scots crime writer Ian McEwan is a big music fan - his novels include Let it Bleed and Black and Blue - and Peter Robinson has named a lot of his novels after songs/albums (Aftermath; A Piece of My Heart). I think I'll try to contact her via her website and find out. |

Frank, that's a shocking mistake by me - I've met and interviewed Ian Rankin and have all his books, most of them signed. I must have been tired when I wrote that! Never read any Ian McEwan, though. |
