Last question for you experts out there: on the GBs' original singles, as I understand it, the only tracks that WEREN'T included on the CD bonus-disc reissues were Just A King In Mirrors (b-side version) Rare Breed (b-side version) and Cut It Out (extended 12-inch version). Is this correct, or are there other extended 12-inch versions/alternate versions out there that aren't available on regular CD release? (Not that any other songs sound as "dance/club" appropriate as "Cut It Out"). This question is just pertaining to the Go-Betweens' original singles. Many thanks! |

The original version of "By Chance" (b-side to Hammer the Hammer) was not included on the Before Hollywood bonus disc. I believe that's it, though. The second round of expanded reissues (Liberty Belle through 16LL) was more completist in approach than the first round. I think some people grumbled about all the omissions with the first round, and with the exception of leaving off the 12" version of Cut it Out, it seems they made an effort to include everything for the second round. |

The edited version of Cattle And Cane only appears on the 1978-90 comp. |

Victor - Yes, the 7" version of Part Company was shortened. The singing comes in sooner and the end fades out earlier. |

Frank Bascombe, is it mp3-able? I'm dying to, er, subject myself to it. |
