Was never much for the Golden Girls, but loved Bea Arthur on Maude, one of those Norman Lear shows very much of their time but still very funny and potent. Jack Cardiff was one of the master cinematographers of all time, best known for his work on Powell/Pressburger films like "The Red Shoes," "Black Narcissus" and "A Matter of Life and Death," though he lensed many, many other fine pictures as well. |
