It has gone quiet her in the North of England but one of my colleagues who is involved with planning has been saying that in Australia there has been a real problem particularly with young health people and the shortage of ITU beds. I'm just seeing what the perception is in Australia/NZ as it is winter with you Thanks |

Swine flu is hitting younger people harder in Australia Frank. The theory is that older people have built up a resistance to it over the years. It is also hitting isolated Aboriginal communities as people there often live cheek by jowl in overcrowded housing. |

my sister's a nurse here in melbourne and apparently a staggering number of people have it or have done. like 30-40% to some extent. i came down awfully sick a couple of months ago like i never have in my life, which, in retrospect was probably swine too. given i enjoy a decent standard of living and keep myself quite fit, i came good after a couple of weeks. one of which was (entirely....seriously) spent in bed. |
