Which version of Man O' Sand is on M&S? That's it, that's all, that's everything.

I like listening to Metal & Shells now and then. It's fun sometimes to listen to those songs in a totally different context.

Agreed - the melding of Before Hollywood and Spring Hill Fair is yeilds a different band, sweeter/more inviting than the first record and more challenging/musicianly than the second. Plus it gives its due to all the right SHF tracks.

Thanks, Pat!

Metal & Shells was only released on vinyl and never on cd, correct?

Certainly, Michael. Although, you could assemble a Metal & Shells CD by culling the tracks from the Before Hollywood and Spring Hill Fair CDs. But I'd be more than happy to burn you a copy from the vinyl.

Though take care to get Man o' Sand off the BH bonus disc, and not SHF, Michael.

It was also released on cassette. I bought it in a Strawberry's record shop near Harvard Square in 1989.
