Randy, you'll be happy and surprised with at least one of the inclusions. http://www.themonthly.com.au/issue/2014/ november/1416806997/robert-forster/what- s-difference-between-rock-star-and-pop-s tar?utm_source=The+Shortlist+Daily&utm_c ampaign=466eaa4598-The_Shortlist_Daily_1 5_December_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_ter m=0_7870ce0889-466eaa4598-302687573

Oh yeah, GREAT inspired choice! For the uninitiated, here's one of my favorite numbers from their period of transition from psychedelic garage band to huge arena act. Heavy bubblegum!!!

Here's the vid Robert writes about:

I suppose this is one of those power ballads my friends were speaking of a month or two back, though they won't have ever heard this song. Keays could shift in a split second from big trashy crowd-rousers like "Merry Go Round" to a sensitive-stud opus like "Because I Love You."

And for good measure, here's one of my favorites from their later period. I can't remember, it was either a b-side or just something that sat in the can until inclusion on an anthology, but its edgy unique acoustic guitar/vibes/percussion is ahead of its time and neatly demonstrates the class of the band.
