Always one of my favourite songs from the GBs. A pastoral version from Timmybear can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOnCwa3q 1vg |

and for the record, it's great to see that it was the B-side version that was included on the new box set. Up to now, compilers had always selected the demo (or possibly bbc session) version on both the 1978-1990 comp and the 2cd reissue of B.H. Although the demo/bbc version has a charm of its own, I much prefer the B-side version. |

As the years pass I sometimes lose sight of the details, but I agree, the studio version is preferable; it has more presence and punch. It's better recorded, natch. I'm curious what Volumes 2 and 3 will include. I suppose The Botany Tapes demos will feature on Volume 2 and Volume 3 may include Live at the Barbican. A properly mastered version of Ocean's Apart has me sending prayers up to a god I don't believe in... one can only hope. |

Playing Just A King In Mirrors now. It is the best version. Jeff, who used to post here, always said he wanted this one released on CD, as far as I recall. |
