As featured on the news page, this could be worth casting a cold eye on: https://nch.ie/Online/Perspectives-2015- Blood-and-the-Moon-Sep15 Hopefully Rober might add. Solo show too... Been a while. |

Robert Forster & Cathal Coughlan will feature on this radio show tonight: http://www.newstalk.com/Tonight-on-The-T om-Dunne-Show------ Heading to NCH for tonight's performance so won't hear it. I heard Mike Scott was barred for peddling too much Yeats already! |

I guess it will be taped for CD or DVD? Maybe some bright spark in Scotland could get up something similar for Burns? |

That songwriter is still on the run fsh....Our man was mesmerising, his Ferry shimmies and soulful delivery of the Crazy Jane piece was worth the trip alone (I'm sure Grant would have enjoyed that Forster/Yeats songwriting tag, it's acceptable!) "A Poet Walks" was even better though, the velvets like riff recalled The House Jack Kerouac built, hard to think he will play a better version? the saxophonist was pretty amazing, especially during the wig-outro, clambering grand piano with a tight rhythm section who clearly were enjoying themselves. Stuart, I saw no recording equipment from the stalls and I thought of recording Robert's part it but then I wouldn't have experienced it properly. It was pretty poorly attended on Monday, dunno what Sunday was like. Coughlan, Calvi & Crowley were all excellent also in what was a great night for for artists whose surname began with the letter C. |

That link to newstalk doesn't work so here's one that should work http://www.newstalk.com/podcasts/The_Tom _Dunne_Show/Highlights_from_Tom_Dunne/10 5149/Interview_Cathal_Coughlan_and_Rober t_Forster I went on Monday night too, Sunday had a better atmosphere - no surprise there. One of the amps (Vox) was crackling throughout the gig so if you want to use vintage equipment make sure it bloody well works. |
