Is Robert really so much more popular in Germany than the UK that he should play seven times there versus once in the UK (on a Monday night in December)?! Or is this just a convenient way to see the in-laws? hoepfully more UK dates to come but I'll be in Shepherds Bush. |

Maybe its because the Label of his new Album is based in Germany (Hamburg)? |

On the his Facebook page Robert declare : "Greetings from Brisbane in winter, the best time of the year in the city. I am glad to see the European tour dates posted - more to come soon. I want to tour Songs To Play as far and as wide as I can: desperate to reach Copenhagen, Bergen, Paris, Rimini, Barcelona, Seville, Lisbon, Glasgow, New York, Wellington and beyond. Hopefully promoters can be found for me. As you know I move in bohemian circles, so dates in theatres, bookshops, and slow moving cafes are welcome. Accommodation's easy. I can stay in a nearby monastery." So more dates should be announced. |

Man, there are so many small beautiful theatres in Italy that would be perfect for a Robert show. And monasteries? Talk about spoilt for choice! |

When Robert toured following the release of The Evangelist, he played in Lancaster Library. I'd love to see him play there again, or at least somewhere in the north of England. |

Me too, Simon. If you see a drunk person talking loudly to two other drunk people (but slightly less loudly than the two other drunk people) that'll be me. not while Robert is playing, obvs |

Posted on the wrong forum fsh ?! It may be important news to someone...but its relevance to RF tour dates escapes me. Is there a coded message inside the article ? |

It was for 'C Gull' (see second last posting). I dunno how to delete it unfortunately. Qui scripti, scripti. BTW does anyone know what John Peel's PR job on 'Part Company' was? Just read something about it but don't know what it was. |

Haha, seagulls have got a pretty bad press this summer, guess there were no dangerous dog stories to write about! Better news is the seagulls lofty position at the top of the championship! Now has anyone got a spare ticket?! |

Is Oxford any use to you? He's playing there on the 6th and tickets are still available. Oxford is much more convenient for me than London but I'm busy on the Sunday night. |

Thanks so much @billy who has come to my rescue with a Bush Hall ticket. Would still very much like a second one if anyone can oblige. Thanks also EW- I've also booked Oxford - just got to work out the logistics now, as I work in West London hopefully there will be some way of connecting it all together! |

I was wondering the same, Andrew. I hope there's a band involved, a song like Let me imagine you really thrives on the textures the other musicans bring to it. |

Shame. My favourite Robert live experiences have been those spontaneous moments, when he instructs the band to keep a groove going, and then improvises. And the dancing obviously. |

Really peeved off that Robert is only playing 2 gigs in the UK, both miles from me and both in such small venues that they've sold out. Not a happy bunny at all. |

Well, if it's all solo, then I'm a little less sad about the possibility of not seeing him live - the video really whet my appetite for a band show, as I suspect will the album when it arrives (nay, thar sall be no streaming fandanglement for this Luddite, arr). On the other hand, if he managed to stretch one long gangly leg over the border to say, Milan, at least, then I'd do my best to get there. |

The Wellington contingent of the Go-Betweens/Forster fan club is coming to Brisbane for the gig on Nov 21. In our enthusiasm we have bought 3 too many tickets. Any takers? if so you can email me richardlangston.journo@gmail.com and we can go from there. In any case, looking forward to catching up with some of you and the gig enormously - our first trip to Brisbane since the epic Forster solo gigs. |

Is anyone on the board going to the Oxford concert this Sunday and want to meet up at a pub beforehand? There are two pubs nearby with literary associations: The Eagle & the Child or The Lamb & Flag. |
