Robert Forster Tonight Marc welcomes back Go-Betweens founder Robert Forster It's been seven years since Robert's last Marc Riley session and also seven years since his last solo album The Evangelist. Since then he's been a busy man. He's produced records, for Brisbane bands the John Steel Singers and Halfway, he's been a music critic, for Australian periodical The Monthly - a stint which resulted in the book The Ten Rules Of Rock And Roll and a musical curator, compiling G Stands For Go-Betweens. Volume 1 - the first of three box-set compilations charting the career of his legendary band. Now finally he's releasing a new album of his own , Songs To Play, recorded in an analogue studio on a mountain top half an hour from his Brisbane home with various young musician including members of the a fore mentioned John Steel Singers. Hi, not sure whether you guys know but Robert was on Pete Paphides show on radio soho the other day. He was there for the whole two hours, who knew he was a big fan of Hot Chocolate! He's back in December too. | ||
