Nice report Padraig, thanks. I'd love to have him play here but LA is too flash. Back up to SF again perhaps, at least until Robert figures out that IT's become too flash as well. I used to snooze at shows consisting solely of a guy and a guitar but I've enjoyed the last 2 or 3 I've attended. Must be an age thing. I'm able to just experience the stark fact of the song--its lyrics, melody and structure--without being distracted by the decorations. | ||

Hi Fred, no. But he said someone else said to him it should be titled Advice To Young Men. So perhaps it's for his son, who released a very good debut album this year with a band called Goon Sax. I'm seeing them in March, supporting Teenage Fanclub. | ||

Great stuff Pádraig. Enjoy the upcoming show, TFC were wonderful in Dublin last week, and that Goon Sax album is one of my favourites of the year. |
