That's very good news - the three tracks from this album sounded much better on the Quiet Heart comp so the album should be greatly improved with a decent remaster/remix. | ||

Phew....it's a long old wait for details of this box set to emerge. I did email Domino a couple of months back and received a very quick and friendly response saying things were going very well - words to the effect of 'nearly there' and optimistic hopes of a release date to coincide with the 30th anniversary of 16LL (end of August). That's not going to happen - I like to think that any delay has been caused by the emergence of some pristine forgotten masters in an attic somewhere... but the reality is probably far more mundane. In fairness, Robert did say that the box wouldn't be released until later this year, so that time isn't really due yet. Intriguingly, there have also been hints of a new RF solo release being recorded, if not released, this year - so we could be in for a bumper end to the year! | ||

Just looking back at the key dates for vol 1. It was announced on 1st October 2014 but wasn't released until 19th January 2015. Following the same timescale, even if vol.2 is announced in the next few days/weeks I can't see it being released this year. Hope I'm wrong. | ||

The page where Australian and New Zealand customers can order the box set doesn't say that the book allocation have all been snapped up. In fact it just says "Comes with an EXCLUSIVE & FREE book from the Grant McLennan literary collection" no mention of the offer being limited to the first 400 worldwide, just seems to suggest every order comes with a free bonus book. | ||
