That was fantastic. Robert with pick upband andy Lewis (paul Weller’s bassist) who were the other two - Robin and Ian? Not sure I’ve ever seen Robert look so confident- every song a stormer including heavy metal version of German Farmhouse. Head full of steam, a poet walks, love is a sign, learn to burn, let me imagine you, surfing mags, a sublime dive for your memory, Darlinghurst nights encore. A great, great night - top of his game. | ||

Some good videos on You Tiube posted by ‘Country Mile’. Particularly worth watching Don’t Let Him Come Back and anextraordinary German Farmhouse (but they are all good - although don’t do the sound justice as it was excellent from where I was standing) | ||

I think the band will have been Robert Rotifer, Ian Button and Lewis who play in John Howard and the Night Mail who are also on tapete. Surely Lewis is better known for also being in Spearmint than anything involving old coconut head Weller. | ||

Thanks for the heads up on the YouTube vids. Wow, "German Farmhouse" is high proof, I love it. Really, all these performances are terrific. This must have been something to see. |
