This is the press release for it: UK PREMIERE FOR FEATURE ON SEMINAL AUSTRALIAN BAND, THE GO BETWEENS SoundScreen London Music and Film Festival are delighted to announce the UK premiere of the amazing 'The Go Betweens : Right Here' to be held at London's Regent Street Cinema on Saturday 24th March at 8.45 pm. Robert Forster, co-founder of The Go Betweens, will be taking part in a post-screening Q&A hosted by journalist and broadcaster, Peter Paphides. That sure to be sold out screening will be followed by an encore screening as part of the Sound Screen Festival at The Genesis Cinema Mile End on Sunday 25th March at 9.00 pm. The Go-Betweens : Right Here is the feature length documentary about the people who created the seminalrock band the Go-Betweens. It is a heartfelt story of discovery, uncovering the intensely passionate, creative and fraught relationships that formed one of the most loved and influential bands in Australian rock history. It is also the universal story of a great creative adventure that spanned three decades, through countless successes, failures, romances, break-ups, betrayals, triumphs and tragedies. The Go-Betweens: Right Here is a compelling investigation into the exhilarating, unpredictable, and precarious lives of musicians, that reveals the true price paid by them to pursue their art. The Go-Betweens: Right Here doesn’t assume knowledge of the band or their music, rather it offers an evolving revelation of them that truthfully exposes all the highs, the lows, the joy, the pain, the sorrow, and the beauty of being in a cult band and of trying to survive the harsh and brutal realities of an exploitative music industry. Unflinching, insightful and at times painfully honest, the film tells the story of The Go-Betweens from the inside out, from the people who lived it, and from those whose lives were transformed by it. 'beautifully shot, thoughtful documentary' The Australian 'the film unfolds as if it's being lived out, not simply retold'. **** Sydney Morning Herald 'an emotional, rolling thunder of a film, one this extraordinary band deserves. Those for whom the Go-Betweens are part of the architecture of their lives will love it. For casual watchers, it might introduce them to something special.' **** The Guardian 'The Go Betweens: Right Here' trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDjJERFu 2xI To book tickets for Regent Street Cinema screening: https://www.regentstreetcinema.com/progr amme/the-go-betweens-right-here/ To book tickets for Genesis Cinema screening: http://genesiscinema.co.uk/GenesisCinema .dll/WhatsOn?Film=10570989 |

Thanks for that - let's hope it makes it to the West Country or somewhere a little closer to me. |

Anyone know if there any plans for a Blu Ray release? I'd taken it for granted a Blu Ray version would be available from day one but no! |

Agree about the extra interviews that come with the DVD. I didn't watch them until maybe a week or two after the main film. It was astonishing how much they added. For me they transformed the entire project. |
