Dear All, I am the foolish brother of Burgers and didn't download the files for G Stands for... volume 1, five years ago. I wasn't really using downloads back then but now really regret this. I tried downloading at the weekend, spurred into action by the arrival of volume 2. I could only download 16 songs. I emailed Domino who say there were only ever 16. I would really like the full thing as WAV files and have asked Domino to look at this again to see whether the full collection was available back then. I have no idea if they will. As for volume 2, I managed 52 songs as 24 bit files - the 4 vinyl albums - and the whole collection as 16 bit and as MP3 files. I'd love to have volume 1 as WAVs. Regards, VisionsOfBlue |

vol 1 downloads offered all audio at 24-bit, not just the vinyl, and the albums were at 24/96. files i have for vol 1: 24/44 WAV for LP1 ('first five singles') & the CDs. 24/96 WAV for LPs 2-4 (the albums) i *think* the choice was between those WAV files and MP3, but there may have been a 16-bit WAV option as well. vol 2: 24/44 HD WAV option for just the LPs. 16/44 standard WAV option has all audio. sometime around the repress of vol 1 the audio seems to have been switched to the 16 song sampler (https://www.discogs.com/release/6619263) but domino are definitely mistaken in saying they never offered full downloads. |

Argh. I too now realise that I never used the download code to obtain these. At the time I just figured I would rip he CD's and I had previous CD issues of the vinyl so didn't do anything. Now I realise there were 24but remasters of the LP's I'd like to get. I still have my unused card and code in the boxset. if anyone can help please contact me at anne.mike@gmail.com |
