This was recorded in Galway in Ireland at an arts festival by a friend of a friend speaking with Robert. https://open.spotify.com/episode/3VXGGan nXtYEXYqyZPtHYG?si=611b8898f7c14bcd&nd=1 &dlsi=d496a35b217e4428 Sorry about the double post. I put it into the off topic thread before. May as well get it right for posterity. |

Uncut have a special 500 Greatest Albums of the 80s out tomorrow which includes a new interview with Robert. I haven’t seen the list yet but I’m certain it will be incorrect. |

Burgers, I think you'll probably be right! But it has got me thinking what my favourite albums of that decade would be... Hmm... |

Finally got hold of the Uncut special. As expected, they got the list wrong. There’s a three page interview with Robert in which he talks of his respect for The Smiths without accusing them of ripping off Before Hollywood. As for the 500 records No place for the best record in that decade, Script of the Bridge Room for dross like the Blow Monkeys, B52’s and Haircut 100 A lot of Felt records Something like 25 Australian ones including 271 Spring Hiil Fair 228 Before Hollywood 225 Talullah 203 16 Lovers Lane 141 Liberty Belle Plus at 468 The King of Luxembourg - Royal Bastard |
